The collection consists of Henry Vanetti's notes for a class on the study of international war issues, ca. 1918, and an order for sentinels, S.A.T.C., dated 23 October 1918. Also included is a photograph of cadets or members of S.A.T.C. in front of Jackman Hall, unidentified and undated but almost certainly 1918.

Henry E. Vanetti of Barre, VT, entered Norwich University in 1918. As a member of the Students Army Training Corps (S.A.T.C.), he was mustered out and left the University the same year. The establishment of Students' Army Training Corps units was authorized by the Selective Service Act of 1917. The Students' Army Training Corps utilized the facilities, equipment, and faculty of colleges and universities to select and train officer candidates and provide technical and vocational training during World War I.
